My name is Hannah Alleman and I am your child's Kindergarten teacher this year! This will be my third year at Barton Creek, and I couldn't be more thrilled to be a part of this amazing community. My professional goals as an educator are to foster a life-long desire for learning in all my students by finding their unique talents and interests. I believe that all students are capable of greatness and I strive to provide a balance of success and challenge. I work to have a clear understanding of my students needs, and I value parent communication to ensure student success. Kindergarten is an exciting year, and sets the foundation for how your student will perceive school. In Kindergarten at BCE, we have a great balance of academics and play, while fostering learning through whole group, small group, and individual hands-on learning.
I moved to Austin two years ago from Boulder, Colorado, where I received my Bachelor's degree in Humanities and Elementary Education from the University of Colorado. I am now working towards a graduate degree in Autism and Developmental Disabilities from the University of Texas
where I will receive my masters degree in special education. I taught first grade at a classical charter school in Firestone, Colorado, where I fell in love with the primary grades and their love for learning. I am an avid lover of the outdoors, and have recently begun competing in triathlons with my boyfriend Sam, who is an awesome motivator and inspiration in my life!
One of the most important parts of your child's education is a strong home to school connection. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns, I am always available via email at email@example.com, or by phone at (512) 732-9180! My conference hour is 8:25-9:15, if you would like to meet with me in person.
I'm looking forward to a fun and enriching year with your child!
Sincerely, Hannah Alleman
